Code Compliance Evaluations

Our engineers can perform evaluations of your existing flame safety system to help you assure compliance with applicable industry codes and standards.

A typical Code Compliance Evaluation includes:

code compliance evaluations

  • Review of flame safety system operating sequence and software to assure consistency with applicable standards
  • Verification of proper type and quantity of field instrumentation and safety shutoff valves
  • Review of flame safety system control panel and hardware design for consistency with applicable standards
  • Review of control panels and wiring practices for compliance with National Electric Code (NEC) requirements
  • Formal report of any non-compliance issues including recommendations for remediation

Our Code Compliance Evaluations are performed to the applicable flame safety requirements as outlined by the National Fire Protection Association (NFPA) for single burner and multiple burner boilers, ovens, furnaces, heaters, kilns and other types of combustion process equipment, and to Factory Mutual (FM) standards where required.   Evaluations for black liquor recovery boilers are based upon requirements established by the Black Liquor Recovery Boiler Advisory Committe (BLRBAC).
